The Giving Trees / Images / Installation
This work documents living ecosystems in Wesetern Candian forests at various stages of regeneration after fire. During drives to a favorite lake, I noticed the forests evolving rapidly after fires, reflecting nature’s resilience and hope. Inspired by this tenacity, I began photographing these landscapes. To find the unique beauty of charred forests and their renewal, I travel deep into remote, fire-impacted areas. Through fire access and logging roads, I venture on foot, capturing the transformation from burned remains to vibrant regrowth. This work aims to show fire’s essential role in forest life, celebrating nature’s ability to renew itself.
